First Full-Scale Demonstration Flight
On February 7, Team Hydra had their first full scale demonstration flight, featuring Project Cerberus. The team launched in Holtville, California, at around noon. The team first added ballast in place of the payload, then assembled the full rocket with the upper body tube and nose cone, shock cords, main and drogue parachutes, electronics bay, and finally, the lower body tube and fins. The launch proved successful, as the team was able to effectively recover the rocket, and the main parachute and drogue chutes successfully deployed. However, this was not without its issues - Nevertheless, the team remains determined and works hard to fix current issues in the rocket. Team Hydra looks optimistically to the next launch and believes they will be able to achieve their goals.
